When zombies attack Vancouver computers
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Watch out... Vancouver has one of the largest zombie populations in the country. But these monsters aren't attacking your brains, they are focused on your computer.
A zombie is a computer that has been hijacked. It gets a virus that allows the hacker to take control of it, then it can be used to generate spam or other attacks without your knowledge. Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver rounds out the top three cities with the highest number of zombie-infected computers according to McAfee.
Larger cities tend to have more because of the concentration of computers, people and a lack of current virus protection.
