Livecity Yaletown / Downtown
Didn't wanan put this in the olympics thread, as this is specific to these two venues.
Anyone been?
Other than live music, is there anything to do? What is there? Any houses and such?
Would you recommend one over the other?

I went yesterday to see Matisyahu. It was dope!! Walking in the rain was shitty but it was WORTH IT when I got there!
Other than the music, its hella fun to share a good vibe and meet people and chant "GO CANADA GO!"

lol deadmau5 should be ridiculously packed...don't his concerts here sell out in like...minutes? And those are paying ppl lol
anyone checked out any of the houses or pavillions in any of the live cities? Worth going? The ones in Livecity Vancouver sound pretty lame (canadian ones) and not sure what the other one has...

Im going to deadmau5, but going EARLY
The only house I've been inside is the quebec house, and they were just shutting it down for the night at 12 am on saturday
To be honest it didnt look like much inside

Just left live city yaletown. Basically just sponsor booths and exhibitions. Shud be better in a bit when hockey starts.

Coke has a house where it's like a coke museaum and u take a pic with the torch.
There's also a room you can watch something in HD but long line up. Only checked out
the coke house really.

Take transit.
There is more to do in the Yaletown site (sponsor booths) but there are shitloads of lineups to do anything short of taking a dump in a portapotty. Panasonic has a 3D movie theater thing but I didn't check it out -- too many lineups!
Beside the Quebec Pavillion is the Ontario Pavillion which also has a "4D" movie - a bit of a lineup for a 10min movie but it's actually pretty cool.
The Downtown site has a small pavillion, a live music tent and a pretty lame Manitoba house.
