I downgraded that shit within 5 minutes. Very confusing layout but I'm pretty sure if I kept it, I'd get used to it but fuck no!
Btw, to downgrade, simply uninstall "Windows Live Essentials 2011" or something like that. Then download the older version (Windows Live Messenger 2009 (14.0.8117)) at http://www.filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/.
My 2009 has been a little crazy lately, doesn't seem to wanna send messages at random times.

It's bloated as shit and filled with useless flash animations. The facebook integration is awful too. Not to mention the huge ass ad in the "social" view.
I'm using Trillian 5 now. It's really compact and minimalist. Good facebook and twitter integration too.

I wonder what kids in middle and high school use these days. Back then, there was only msn messenger so everyone had it.
Now, I just sign on msn but rarely talk on it. All my close friends that I talk to are on skype.

I feel the same, log on, stay "online", but do not talk.
AIM and WLM.
I'd love to use Skype, but no one in my circle of friends use it.
text messaging seems to be the new 'msn' for me.
