2 quick points. You typed Asus in your post, minor error since you did put Acer in the title.
I have the exact same laptop and I love mine, but mine came with the gayass bi-lingual keyboard. Did you mod yours to the US spec keyboard?

Thanks for catching the typo! Yes I bought a US keyboard on eBay and swapped it. It was $30+shipping.
