China Makes Fake Rice
haha is there anything fake that doesn't come out of this place?
allegations of mixing potatoes and sweet potatoes into the shape of rice grains, then adding industrial synthetic resins

there is a usatoday article which just speaks about chinese citizens being concerned with what they're buying as there have recently been fake Bean Curd, Wine, Rice Noodles, Mushrooms ,dairy goods etc

Fake, they didn't tell which brand or where it came from. Also never heard of it in Hong Kong or not a single Chinese forum is talking about. I'd call it BS.
Even it's true, it's probably 0.0001% chance that you will ever get affected anyway.

They sold fake Ox brand rice from Thailand but i didnt hear about it being made of plastic just stole the branding
Fake eggs too
edit: there was also another brand of rice they faked because it was a "premium, better tasting" rice where they threw some flavouring over the rice and sold it under the premium labels name
