Questions about PC to HDTV
Hey guys,
So I want to hook up my PC to my HDTV. For whatever reason I'll let you know that my PC has an nVidia 8800GT, and my TV is a 46' Sharp Aquos.
I'm just curious which method I should be hooking up my PC to my HDTV? One of my buddies said that he goes through AGP, however wouldn't it make more sense that if I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter and went through HDMI I would get better quality? I heard that there is a chance of doing damage to your TV if you do it wrong.
Also, if I hook my computer up to my TV will I be able to use surround speakers attached to my TV or will I have to use my computer speakers?
Thanks.

If you're video card has dvi out simply get a dvi-hdmi cable. AGP doesn't make any sense since that's the graphics card interface on a motherboard.
Afaik dvi doesn't send audio so you'll need to wire the sound out from your pc into your home theater or line in on the tv.

This.
Make sure you set the output resolution to your TV's NATIVE resolution so you get it exactly 1:1 pixel matching without any upscaling or downscaling.
