Who's got 'em? We've all heard the stories, but I'd like some real-world feedback. I'd like to pick up a set for my NA Miata to replace the janky OEM suspension that is probably as old as the car.

i have them on my rsx...they sometimes make a clunking sound when i turn the wheel driving really slow but other then that they're okay for cheap full coilovers.

They were pretty bad on my friends miata when he had it. But unless all you want is slammed and don't care about performance then get it.

+1 for all previous reviews. Theyre look for looks and for lowering purposes only. Installed a set for my customer. Price is the only attractive part that would tempt me to purchase a set.

installed some one a friends ek, clunking noises sometimes, bolt holes that line up with rear LCA's were much larger than LCA bolt size, dosnt come with all hardware, needed to re use existing top hats, that was a pain cuz oem top hats were seized... all in all its worth spending a couple hundred more for a better setup

Had em on my old NA Miata, better than leaky OEM's and you can go low. Supposed to have good warranty too, they are reasonably comfortable cause the damping is really soft.
I tracked and autox'ed on them, rear was a bit soft for the track but overall not bad.
For the price paid, no complaints but I'd look into the entry level megans which come with top hats and adjustable damping.

Otherwise buy the Flyin Miata Vmaxx for a proven entry level coilover, I have my NB top hats for sale if you're interested

^ BC racing isn't bad for the price/budget. Got the job done for me. Had an issue where the front top hat came loose, the mechanics at Speed Syndicate told me they've heard that happen before apparently. I enjoyed them better than Tein's.

I am driving ilvtofu's old Miata and they are still on the car.

They're super soft and you will bounce like a mofo. I can't run the most aggressive setups like 15x9 195/45 etc because I will rub, like a mofo. Unless you run really sunk then sure I autocross my stock wheels on the same suspension setup with RT615K, not the best tire but they were cheap.

For my daily setup it's 15x8 +0 and I have to use 175/50/15 to not rub.

Clunking noises, bottoming out, etc etc. They're like $400 shipped so you really get what you pay for.

As for height they go really low, heck you can take out the helper springs like those slam guys on CR.net for more travel but I don't recommend it since you'll rub before you get the travel anyway.

I say get some Megan EZ streets 12 way adjustable or add a bit more for some BC Racing. In the long run it'll be worth it!

I've got em in my IS. No issues with mine. I was able to choose custom spring rates, shock bodies, and option of Swift springs upgrade. Plus, customer support is there if I ever need it.

I've got BC Racing BR Type 32 way adjustable for my EK. I've never had any issues, glad I bought them. I've also got a set of Koni Yellows + Ground Control coilovers for my EF, love this setup as well!

Yes, I was in STS class and wasn't too far behind. It was the first event with the car under my ownership and I ran the RT615K in the wet. I also drove the car when it was higher and owned by ilvtofu with S Drives in the wet and with AD08 in the dry while still using racelands and they weren't too bad. Just remember to get some sway bars, or upgrade the springs as jtrinh said

I am driving on Raceland coils on my Miata as well and find them to be too soft for my liking compared to my Stance GR+ I had on my previous S13. Previous owner bought them for something cheap like $200 so you can't complain at all for the price considering how brand new Megans will cost at least $800 iirc. You get what you pay for. I don't have any problems with strange clunking noises though on occasion I do bottom out but that probably has more to do with ride height if anything and I'm not as low as swfk too.

I browsed through a few different makes and models for their offerings and noticed a majority (not all) of their spring rates go anywhere from 300 to 400 or progressive (rear.)

The shock itself does not offer any adjustment of any kind (rebound and compression.) At this point, you just have to trust that the products kits they sell have the proper valving and matched to the springs. Based on your guys' feedback, it seems as if the springs are made of poor quality or their shocks have failed (and possibly a combination of both.)

I won't come to any conclusions myself without having owned a set (I have no intentions to) but anybody serious enough to take matters into their own hands to own a proper suspension setup would be better off with a Koni yellow setup or a Ground Control coilover kit. But having said that, these are a budget setup. I don't expect them to offer any kind of adjustment compared to say a set of KW coilovers (extreme example.)

So far, it seems like this stuff is good out of the box for a few months and then it's good for slamming your vehicle and compromising your vehicle's suspension geometry. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
