No, you (and a bunch of other people) are misunderstanding the point.
I highly doubt most in here are really cheering for the Blackhawks.
Like some have already said, they are the "lesser of both evils".
Most are only trash talking the Bruins.
In my opinion, it's the Canuck fans who ARE still butthurt from the 2011 finals that are in here,
using the Blackhawks win to feel justified, as if Canucks just got redemption now.
(MAYBE, if you're a legit Leafs fan, something worth celebrating... maybe.)
So no, this has nothing to do with cheering for other teams when Canucks are out. And this has nothing to do with me being butthurt.
I enjoyed an awesome series, and only wished it would have been even more epic with a game 7 Overtime finish.
That being said, really didn't matter who won for me.

What a series, i enjoyed watching the hawks, as I always do, they play good hockey, and no hate can take that away.
But damn, Boston really let it slip, especially the winner, Bolland got his break, because Ferrance and McQuaid decided to give a soft nudge to Bolland, who drived pretty aggressively to the net
that gif a few pages back told the entire story of the winning goal

How is it blind trash talking man? I hate Marchand, I hate Thornton, I hate Chara, I hate Boychuk... Seguin is irritating to me........ I don't mind Lucic and I like Krejci, but that's not enough to make up for the players I personally have no respect for. They can suck it. Not blind, perfectly reasonable and I have reasons for why I don't like each of those players.

Are people in this thread actually arguing about other people cheering for other teams? Probably the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard - if someone wants to cheer for the Hawks and you decide to chirp them because of it, get off your high horse. People will cheer for whoever they feel like and it effects you in literally no way.
Let's just appreciate that series for what it was - one of the best rounds of playoff hockey in recent years, and look forward to what's next; buyouts coming up, the draft, etc.

What a series. Both teams you can tell WANTED the cup oh so badly. Sure we can all be butthurt from losing to both the teams, but would we honestly be able to say that the Canucks would have fought as hard as either team? I for one cannot.
