Lawnmower recommendations - cordless
well, since I moved to my new house... my lawn is a tad bit larger and carting around the electric mower with the stupid cord slows me down. i'd like to skip GAS powered for now....
any recommendations on battery powered mowers? i've been looking at HOME DEPOTs RYOBI brand....

When I still cut my lawn, I used a push mower. It worked quite well, good exercise too! I leant it to my neighbour and a friend, they both ended up buying their own. Mine was just a cheap one.

Now, mind you, I've only done that because I travel too much. But still. It's awesome.

if you have a thick lawn good luck with a push mower. It litterally "pushes" the grass down instead of cutting it lol.. after a few hours on a sunny day it looks like garbage because the blades you didnt cut stand back up.. and this was with an excellent push mower with sharp blaces.

i found you also need to have a pretty flat yard for push mower. it's great on my dad's lawn but not so good on mine.

Are you looking at the 40 volt or 18 volt mower. the good thing about the 18 volt mower is you can use the same battery with all the other Ryobi tools. They make a great trimmer that uses the same 18 volt batter but can also be plugged into the wall.

Almost got the 18V ryobi at Home Depot today but they had the 40V on sale for......$296 plus I got another $50 off by applying for a Home Depot card so taxes in came to $285. The 18V is $298 before tax. I have a ryobi trimmer 18V but yah the 40V mower is awesome.....20” cutting, LED headlights lol....

Wirecutter recommends the Ego 56V if you're going electric.
I have ~2,000 sf of lawn and ended up with a low end Lawn Boy push mower (the push version of what Wirecutter recommends). It ran about $300-350 I think and does a reasonable job - I have a pretty thick lawn and it does bog down a bit when I mulch. Would have loved to get a Honda though but my yard ain't quite big enough for me to justify that.
