We have some bug issue on our balcony earlier. We got some white vinegar and just spray it on the balcony and around the windows and no bugs afterward. You could try to do that...... or if you have a lot trees, tall bushes in the backyard try trimming them it helps.

It's bad. last week I averaged 2 bites a day. I was working late last night out in RMD, farmland. Keep moving, harder for them to get you.
Also lately, tons of winged ants. At least they don't bite.

It's getting so bad that my muskol stuff isn't even working that well. This stuff usually works fine. So I've resorted to taking the doggies to Vancouver or Burnaby to get away from these little fuckers in Richmond.

Do any of you guys have a mosquito trap? Like the propane powered ones. Do they work at all ?

Gotta get the woods bug spray from the states. Extra DEET levels they don’t allow in Canada.
Haven’t noticed the mossies in Richmond where I’m at, but my wife did notice the extra flying ants. Not big, the same size as normal ants. They’re just in all the spider webs

You in central Richmond 320? I haven't noticed too many there but in West Richmond they are crrrraaaaazzzzzyyy. Proximity to the dyke swamps really made it bad. My backyard is right next quilchena golf course. You would think they'd do more to protect the club members who are out and about.

You guys know mosquitos breed in still waters, right? Make sure you don't have wheelbarrows, tires, garden pots, buckets, etc. filled with water. Even if you do your part, the rest of the neighbours have to do their part. If you live near natural sources of water, like creeks, ditches, marshland, well, you need to suck it up or move.
If you don't believe me, leave a bucket of water out in the backyard. Within a few days, you'll see mosquito larvae in the water.

I got a big zapper in the backyard. Seems I just kill everything other than mosquito's. Bees, dragonflies, a shit ton of moths. But almost no mosquito's.
Gonna go to mark work warehouse tomorrow to buy their anti mosquito clothing. See if that shit works.

Try Thermacell if you're just sitting around. That's what hunters use in the woods. It create an invisible shield around the viccinity. Takes 5-10 minutes to work.

The thermacell stuff is great, only have used the non-lantern one. They also have a portable one you can clip to your bag etc. if you go hiking or just to be portable.
