I still don't understand why you wouldn't want to get rid of Miller contract this year before no trade clause kicks in next year. Even if you have to eat $1M per yr on his stupid contract, you free up to $7M per year ... do you think anyone would want Miller for 7 years @ $7M cap hit actual? What about Miller for $6.5M pa for 7 yrs? Cap space freed up depending on what or who is coming back.

Man this FO is lining up to surpass benning in ineptitude.
-doubles down on bennings core after talking shit about it
-re-signs boeser, wants to trade him the following year
-re-signs Miller to term because they ran out of time (overvalued his trade value and had to make a decision before the season started)
-talks shit about the head coach publicly
-offers horvat 5.1m after signing boeser to 6.7 and Miller to 8
-signs kuzmenko and Miky when wingers are our strongest asset and we have glaring holes at center and D.

the 5mil offer was in the summer and based on what RNH got, the recent offer was in the 7 range. and the team making the offer will always start low... all this talk is just talk. both sides could be playing hardball. they could find a trade partner and then come back to him and make a final offer that Bo accepts.

I’d tend to agree. Gretzky played with guys hacking darts in between periods who had no business being professional athletes. Ovies goal scoring prowess has spanned basically 2 separate periods of hockey

Ovi's stats for power play goals are impressive. 292 goals hahah.
His one timer slapshot near a faceoff circle during power plays is almost an automatic goal for him.
Over half of his goal total are goals scored in road games too.

At Ovi's age it's crazy the goal numbers he still puts up. I imagine it'll take 3-4 more seasons to break the record but it's his for the taking at this point if he stays healthy.
Gretzky's point record is still insane to me. Say what you will about the era he played in but the gap between him and the next guy is ridiculous and clearly an unbreakable record now.

Its kinda funny when I think about it. Each position in hockey is kinda an extension of your personality. Its either you are a goal scorer, playmaker, defender or puck stopper.
