Pavelski's always been a great gritty clutch player imo. Sadly sharks were trending in a different direction and had many key prospects to sign, so he hit free agency.
thorton, burns, coutour, timo miere etc Sharks couldn't offer what Little Joe could get out there.
and head injuries...
he got paid anyway by Dallas that summer

-quite an achievement for Pavelski to score more career playoff goals (73) than Crosby or Ovi.
A bit underrated as a player compared to those superstars in my opinion when it comes to the playoffs.
-cheering on Dallas to beat Vegas. -hope that Pavelski wins a Cup before his retirement.
A huge mountain to climb for the Stars to beat Vegas though when they trail 3-1 in this series.

Well so many of those goals probably happened during the extended playoff appearances of the sharks that never amounted to anything so it’s kind of moot to some degree

Crosby's more of a playmaker and Ovechkin has played a lot fewer playoff games. It's still quite an achievement for Pavelski. But considering pt/game, I don't think he's underrated if he's not compared with the other two...
If Dallas actually pulls off a reverse sweep, I can see them winning the cup. They'll be coming in with full momentum vs a relatively cooled off Florida team.

The only reason Panthers are in the final is that Bob is playing completely out of his mind. Like... even with Tkachuk's GWG accomplishments it's hard not to give Bob the Conn Smythe if they win it all. So many of his saves have had unreal anticipation and reaction times.
I thought the dude was a total bum and gonna be out of the league after his current contract expires, but what a playoffs he is having this year... Vigneault might even say he's playing like a man possessed.

They would be the first team in NHL History to do so. Literally no team leading 3-0 in a conference final has ever lost the series. 46-0!
I did find myself cheering for Dallas last night though. We'll see how much further they can push Vegas.

Benn is back next game. Hopefully it fires up the team and he actually helps instead of cost the team this time.
Haven't really been interested in the playoffs but with the potential of seeing some drama like a reverse sweep... now this is interesting.
