I don't know if you're egging us to congratulate you or to grill you, but congrats!
Are you going to put stickers along the side of this vehicle?

I was probably just lucky, but with the Avery automotive-grade stickers that I have used in the past, they can still get removed -- from the paint, no less! -- after maybe 7+ years without leaving much residues behind. I'm sure there are cases where they will peel off the clear coat when the sticker gets removed though.
As to paint fade, if the car sits under the sun a lot, I'm sure the sticker-covered portion will have a more saturated / original colour than the exposed portion. That is just how sun bleaching works, and there is no way to get around that.

makes no bloody sense to pay 17k for the same god damn car just slightly faster. For months he was going on and on about miata this, manual that, porsche porsche porsche porsche porsche and then at the drop of a hat, he went full retard and got the EXACT SAME THING as what he already has.
this aint gonna scratch the itch. you'll get bored of this sooooo fucking fast, like probably within 2 weeks.

+17k for awd of the same car?
let's say the extra range is offset by the extra insurance cost
accel isn't even 3Perf's edge anymore as even the new toyota bz wagon can do 3's
sry the dealer is on crack for pricing it at a 30k advantage over your previous vehicle
so many good moves but i dont think this was it

or a BRZ or a GR86
or splurg a little and get that 400Z with a manual
Or buy a nice old bimmer..... or a disgusting beetle (VW, not porsche)

I thought about it for a bit
OPTION 1
For next 5 years
Total additional expense = $19,300 + maintenance
**Upgrade to model 3 performance
-Payment $16,994 ($706/month X 24 months)
-Insurance $2,280 ($406/yr X 5 years)
================================================
Everything else cost more, extreme examples below
================================================
OPTION 2
Total additional expense = $19,300 + maintenance
**buy a fun mantual for $8,000 (miata or otherwise)
- $8,000 miata after tax ($7100 + tax)
- $7,500 insurnace = $1,500 insurance per year X 5 years
- $3,800 left for gas for 5 years = $63 per month.. so 3/4 tank per month.. doable if its just a weekend crusier...
- $0 left for oil changes
================================================
OPTION 3
Total additional expense = $51,200
**lease a fun car for $500 a month after tax (can be 2 yrs of BRZ + 2 yrs of Miata or whatever, or 5 years same car or what have you) Its realistic if you pick the correct time window and not picky on color
- lease $30,000 ($500 a month X 60 months)
- insurnace $10,000 (lease minimal requirement $2,000 a year X 5 years)
- gas $11,200 (based on 8L/100km over a distance of 80,000 KM total = 16,000km per year X 5 years = 6,400L of gas total X $1.75 per L)
- absolte no maintenance since its a lease
================================================
OPTION 4
Stop being a cunt and start saving money for once... kids are getting old, stop spending every penny coming in....but I am a materialistic loser lolol... and yea I wanted smth fast...ish
================================================
Yes, option 2 and 3 will give me a 3rd vehicle in the fam fam, but I cant spilt myself into 2, I can only enjoy 1 vehicle at a time.
The only downside I see is that my model 3 performance will be worth $20K in 5 more years.. where as Option 2 might edge out in asset as the miata might still be $7,000 and the base tesla at $17,000? So I get $24,000 in total asset? Option 3 lease will mean I still still own that $17,000 tesla, but I have spent $50,000+ in leasing new cars
Yes, I absolutely agree the M3P will ge boring fast.. but 3.3 sec is plenty fast, considering my old car is 5.9 sec, at least right now it feels obsecenly fast
I think we already established I am stupid, but that was my thought process and hence why I choose to upgrading my model 3 instead of option 2 and 3.....kinda makes sense in my head??

This is next level math, deep analysis, and an interesting decision making framework.

Your math in option 1 is wrong. Your insurance is 406 plusssss whatever the base rate is for the model 3. That alone throws out all your retarded calculation
And knowing you, and how often you’ll use that 0-60 in 3 ish seconds. You’ll need a set of tires every year.

Yea, but its not like I will cancel my model 3 insurance for Option 2 or 3....
I am not gonna put my base model 3 on storage for 5 years while i have a "fun car" is what I am getting at. The gas equation only works for option 2 if I still daily the base tesla mainly for my cummute
Even if I sell the tesla now to make option 2 viable... that means im 5 years... i will have a prius prime and a $$8,000 JDM car...
Option 3 is only viable to fund the lease by selling the tesla...in 5 years.... i will have nth except a prius prime... and come up with a residue payment if i want to buy out the lease car....

Why would you keep the model 3 and buy another car ? You would do what you did now and sell the model 3 and replace it with the fun car. Why wouldn’t you not drive Prius to bus driving ?
Or just take the fun car to work.

I want to get this straight: You have a Tesla and a Prius, correct?
Was the idea here to get a performance/fun car in some kind of "all-in-one" kind of package, while not having to pay for gas and maintenance as a leading criteria for your decision?

If I did option 2, i HAVE to take the fun car to work, my kids and wife aint fitting in the miata or BRZ, so she will be stuck with prius and I will be bound to a older JDM car that has to be reliable and cant break down for the next 100,000km while it probaly already has 100,000km to begin with...
The only other viable option I saw was a combination of option 2 and 3, where I trade the base tesla for smth a bit more modern, like a demo WRX, but then I will be looking at $50k+gas car consumables for 5 years, then I will end up with a almost 0 miles to 100,000km ownership experience.... but that was too big of an unknown to me, since my 66,000km tesla ownership almost only cost me insurance and electricity....

Option 5: Do nothing? Your existing M3 owed you nothing and cost almost nothing to run. Use $17k for a trip or hobbies or save for retirement for future Porsche fund or whatever else?
Not like the M3P is more interesting than the M3, unless getting impounded for 40 over quicker is entertaining... which I suppose it is lol

In option 2, wouldn't you just be driving your kids to work in the original Model 3?
Oh man. The downside to you working in car sales for a while, is that you drank some of your own kool aid .
That mentality of "what's the maximum amount of car we can squeeze you into, with every penny you can puke up (including borrowing from your future self)" vs the healthier financial perspective of "what is the minimum I can pay out over a lifetime, for a reasonable amount of fun?"
