P.S. - I have never seen whitev70r so engaged on a topic. And of all things: pianos.

Otherwise get a used 88 keyboard on marketplace. In case your kid loses interest, you can sell it for what you bought it for.
A 4 year old might get intimidated by true weighted action but kid's brains are very malleable and they'll adjust once they get over their frustrations.
I find Yamaha keybeds to be very very good for beginners.
I have a P515. I don't recommend that one. Wooden keys are quite heavy

if you impose asian parent will, the intimidation felt by the 4yo will greatly be outweighed by the fear/presure of asian style parenting that may or may not include a feather duster jkjkjk

Boys, I love the Save On burger even more after today.
Went for lunch and ordered the smash burger for myself and the crunchy chicken burger for gf. Somehow, the lady gave me a $5 discount on the chicken burger and then completely forgot to charge me for the smash burger at all. Naturally, I said nothing and tapped my card as usual
Two meals, $9.44 LOL!
If she had come back and asked me to pay for the burger I would have done so gladly. Obviously I could have said something but my inner Asian was like nah fuck it, not my problem
I already know Hobz is proud of me

on the competition side
- the new Yamaha C3s they started using have lighter action & very responsive, love playing them
- steinways (except flagship model D) almost made my quit - they're voiced very dark and sluggish for 'home'/smaller venue listening so you need like 10X finger strength

Corp refresh policy is every three years for me.
CPUs are issued based on role types. A data entry clerk doesn't get the same CPU as compared to say a software developer. Directors+ usually get top-tier laptops.
You're already using a nicer laptop than me. I'm using poverty-spec i3 8GB RAM.

I'm not sure what my company's official policy is, it seems to be "if something breaks then we'll give you a new one".
My last machine was replaced when it started randomly just shutting off on Battery power.
I'm currently on a 2.5 year old Lenovo T16 with i7-1260p and 24GB of RAM.
It's been a pretty solid machine, my only gripe is that IT's crap such as antivirus, PAM, puts a noticeable drag on the machine. It idles around a constant 10% CPU usage.

Answer is always no money. why spend 50 billion to do space launch when they can't even get TSA agents on the floor. Good luck Trump spending at Nasa

Btw if you guys haven't already, pop into power options and bump your profile from balanced to high performance.
It's needed even on very recent hardware like Lenovo P14s Ge 5.
For Windows people, the newest Core Ultra 3XX CPUs are really good.
- Performance is as good as Apple M4 chips
- Heavy load battery efficiency 150% (~250 cinebench points per watt, up from 100) but still needs another 70% to reach Apple (400ppw)
- Light load battery life for web surfing and word processing is better, thx to 1 FPS refresh displays
At current company, it's all M3+ Macbook Air/Pro so there's no refresh.
They all work fast enough.

"Go back"? When did astronauts go the 1st time ... j/k. Technically, they are just doing a fly by but still ... exciting and adventurous. Suppose to lay the ground work for a landing next year?

Wow.
My speculation: whitev70r is a world-renowned pianist. Play Rachmaninoff and Saint-Saëns w/o breaking a sweat. Probably a ringer for professionals to maintain anonymity.
I am fascinated and mildly obsessed.
Such an amazing community!

Kids in elementary school are using better laptops than me.
