Getaway I fucking love it.
I want one just to be able to laugh everyday at the goofy ass name. The 420hp doesn't hurt either.

BC Hydro released new prices for charging:
40 cents/kWh for super fast charging
31 cents/kWh for level 2 charging
Where are the free ones in Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby? Less and less. Sometimes there are some free ones at TD Bank.

One at Richmond has one. Mind you, cuz they are free, they are not maintained well, full of Chinamen parked there for hours, and maybe 1 out of 2 not working.
https://td.mediaroom.com/2015-12-14-...tiative-in-B-C
TD today announced the official launch of its electric vehicle charging initiative, which will see seven TD locations in B.C. provide courtesy charging stations for use by electric vehicle-driving customers while they do their banking.
The following TD locations across Metro Vancouver and in Victoria will have charging stations installed:
Abbotsford: TD Canada Trust branch 9032, 32817 South Fraser Way. Directions
Burnaby: TD Canada Trust branch 9656, 1933 Willingdon Avenue. Directions
Coquitlam: TD Canada Trust branch, 1140 Johnson Street. Directions
Langley: TD Canada Trust branch 9194, 19711 Willowbrook Drive. Directions
Richmond: TD Canada Trust branch 152, 7008 No. 3 Road. Directions
Surrey: TD Canada Trust branch 9280, 10435 King George Boulevard. Directions
Victoria: TD Canada Trust branch 287, 3675 Shelbourne Street. Directions

The Subaru Uncharted GT is an interesting proposition.
MSRP is $51,995 before freight PDI taxes
Subaru is offering $5,000 off so it qualifies for the EV rebate of $5000
Out the door cost $50,800 all in

$10k off right out of the gate is pretty sweet, and $50k all-in in cash seems like a decent price for a spiritual WRX hatchback successor in EV form.
Looks like the lease option finally showed up as well - works out to about $700/mo for 48 months and 20k/yr allowance. It's not quite Solterra-level appealing, but a good start for a brand new model.
EDIT: looks like the Solterra tech package got an extra $2,500 off ($6,500 from Subaru now), which means the dealer only needs to discount $2k to get it under $50k. That said, the interest rate went up 1% for a lease.

bZ mini = chr/uncharted
vanilla = bZ/solterra, wagon = bz woodland/trailseeker
bZ large = highlander getaway
wow the chinese really lit a fire under their ass, i thought they were more committed to hybrids?

Same general tech and architecture, but HP numbers are different:
C-HR / Uncharted + BZ / Solterra + Highlander EV = 338HP
BZ Woodland / Trailseeker = 375HP
Getaway = 420HP
I don't think the RZ got any performance updates - it's still 308HP as before.

Yeah and motors, like radeonboy mentioned. Somebody planned this with an Excel spreadsheet, you just know .
I think the math works out to something roughly like this:
bZ mini
C-HR / Uncharted
Base FWD trims: 221 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - N/A
AWD trims: 338 hp:
Front axle - medium motor
Rear axle - small motor
bZ vanilla = bZ / Solterra / RZ
All Toyota & Subaru trims: 338 hp:
Front axle - medium motor
Rear axle - small motor
Lexus RZ350e: 221 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - N/A
Lexus RZ450e: 308 hp:
Front axle - small motor
Rear axle - small motor
Lexus RZ550e: 402 hp:
Front axle - medium motor
Rear axle - large motor
bZ wagon = bZ Woodland / Trailseeker
All trims: 375 hp:
Front axle - medium motor
Rear axle - medium motor
bZ large = Highlander, Getaway
Toyota base FWD trim: 221 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - N/A
Toyota AWD trims: 338 hp:
Front axle - medium motor
Rear axle - small motor
Subaru all trims: 420 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - large motor

Back me up here radeon - you're the only other one around here who sits through all kinds of vanilla review videos: is this the sense you're getting too? lol
I roughed that table out based on this recurring theme of feedback:
"Trailseeker / bZ Woodland feels more exciting to drive than C-HR / Uncharted: feels like there's a little more rear bias and almost borders on exciting."
"C-HR / Uncharted feels very neutral / balanced, if perhaps a little front-biased."
And then for Lexus, they seem a little down at each power tier, so it would make sense that they had to do a trade for rear-bias feeling, competing against the euro EVs. I guess it's also possible that instead of having actually 3 levels of motors, they could be software-tuning the outputs across just two motor types.

I honestly didn't even go that deep into connecting the dots between the different motor configurations, but your analysis makes sense.
Now that I'm looking into this, looks like the 3 motors are have the following HP:
1. 221HP
2. 168 HP
3. 117HP
From one of the vanilla Subaru Getaway videos I watched last night, a reviewer mentioned the car is powered by 2 221HP motors found in the fwd Highlander. The review also mentions the HP numbers from the 2 motors aren't always additive, which explains why the Getaway only has 420HP instead of 442HP.
The RZ450e is an anomoly - the powertrain is a carry-over from previous years which means the updated motor configs won't line up.
If the platform supports these various configurations, it makes me wish for an Uncharted Wilderness STI with 2 large motors. Think that thing would make a proper Rallycross rig.
So....when are you picking up your Uncharted / C-HR to join the Lezbaru family?

Uncharted Wilderness STI
I think the oil crisis rn means we'll see this sooner rather than later.
All of Japan's oil is imported but their electricity is generated.

I was just thinking that! Would love an Uncharted STI. Hard to say if it's the 420hp that'd bring me more joy, or the hilarious implication of a untreated medical condition.
Poor man's Rivian R3X (tri-motor 850 hp) lol.

Lol yesterday I got a call that they're expecting the orange GT I specced, to arrive in 2 weeks. They also said Subaru just released a $5000 mfg rebate, which also unlocks the $5000 federal rebate for this GT trim. And 0.9% financing too.
This morning I had the uncomfortable conversation with my wife:
"Babe, we're staring down an opportunity to trade in the Highlander, for a net deficit of at least $20,000. The car is smaller: I'm not even sure that the baby seats will fit in the back. We'd be buying the first model year, literally in the first batch to roll down the production line. We have absolutely no reason to buy this car: it is worse in nearly every way. Oh but I'm going to go run a triathlon to get $750 off. And we're going to save so much money on gas that we can't afford!!!!"
I don't really remember what she said. It was either "I love this idea" or "I'm leaving you". Something something.

Technically they don't really need EV cuz they have hybrid kei cars in Japan. It's just loosers like us that needs 500 km electric range

Not to be a hater but didn't the uncharted get cooked on the highway range test?
Car and Driver reported 190 miles at 75mph (304km at 120kmh)
At some heating when it's cold enough for heat pump to not work and you're down to 200km
