Historic bag fumbling by PP and the Cons - in just over a year they went from a 20-25 point lead to handing the Libs a majority and a 10 point lead in the polls. The projections say that if Carney were to hold an election now he'd win around 210 seats (vs today's 174).

It's a flat rate tax of an X amount of cents per litre. A federal tax that is not percentage based on how much gas you pump into your vehicle based on percent per litre.
Ten cents per litre of gas is a federal tax that all people pay at the pump regardless of what province you pump gas into a vehicle.

He's whining by saying the majority was not won through the election (or by-elections) but through back room deals. This, coming from someone who lost his own seat, negotiated a back room deal of his own, triggered a by-election (which apparently counts for him) and took a seat in the safest conservative riding in Canada. All PP had to do to win the election when Trump started barking was be just a TINY bit more patriotic and protective about Canada being an independent country. As I recall it took him a couple weeks before he even pushed back against Trump.
I know he was managing his own separatist/MAGA voting group but he took ages before he made one firm statement protecting Canada - just enough to convince 2% of sane voters that he'd protect our sovereignty. He'd be Governor of Canada right now if he had done that.

I think people are starting to catch on that these conservative parties are not offering any ideas or solutions to the modern problems we're facing. Conservatism by its very nature is archaic in many ways to how quickly and dynamic the modern world is becoming.
Look at the elections in Hungary, the backlash against Trump by even people on the right, and now the massive drop in popularity of the Conservatives here in Canada.
People are realizing these guys don't have any ideas, they're just corrupt bastards trying to continue to enshrine the status quo.
