this usually for girl's side. We did Tim Hortons for meh friends $10 bucks, close aunties, we got Lido cake gift certificates. Since we were 'closer' relatives, we did $25.
* Dried seafood (and other dried goods) - were all from T&T packages.. maybe don't get the T&T ones but you get the jist. We did the wet cans of abalone.
the MOST important part was to WRITE ALL THIS SHIT DOWN. I talked to my mother in law, if you expect $8888 you can kick rocks. If you're ok with $888 or 1818 etc.. Please agree so there are no miscommunications.
We almost had too many guest with my cousin. They said 20 tables, but ended up with 26 and they thought it was "AROUND 20 tables" FFS

Thanks guys.
What's a good place to get the decorations locally? I've kind of procrastinated, so I got like 2 weeks to grab everything.
I read online there's usually places locally to get the auspicious grains and dried seafood in sets? Do the traditional Chinese medicine shops like next to Metrotown T&T or Crystal Mall have them? Or did you guys just buy them separately and wrap them in red/gold boxes?
Going to spend the next couple of days after work running around town.
It's going to be very intimate, I think it's just the bride and her mom, and me and my mom.

Razor Ramon HG - I have some decorations. It will work for your house and/or venue. PM if interested. Friend who has it is in Burnaby near Brentwood.
I will admit that it was tough finding decorations locally (Vancouver.) I wasn't in town at the time so woe is me for not trying hard enough.

Just amazon the shit since you're almost down to 2 weeks.
I just did wick basket and fabricana with red cloth and said fuck it. Didn't even wrap it and it was fine.
I did have 12 baskets so i had help to help (groomsman) put in some foam and set it up properly nicely etc.
Wife is supposed to be the one who does the decor.

Drove over the new riverview bridge today, and to my surprise, its 2 lanes.........
Population was less than half in 1930 when the last bridge was built.
Blows my mind they did not add at least 1 lane.
Traffic has doubled since 1930, and will quadruple by 2130 (in comparison to 1930) when it gets replaced next
Great use of future proofing the city for X billion

City of New West objected to the 6 lane bridge proposed by Surrey. Blame New West.

one of my nurse friends saw my browser and said "I can't believe revscene still exists"
I told her there's only a handful of us left who still post and she replied "I bet there's only like 20 of you" and I'm like 20? Maybe 15 or so
She laughed and said bunch of dudes in their 40s and 50s but at least you have money now to do whatever car stuff you want

She's not wrong and it's a spot-on assessment.
Please invite her out to the next Stock & Noob Meet. I have a prize waiting for her.

what's the best way to park downtown robson area, long-term 3-4x a week? No one has a parking spot for rent in the building.

If you have an EV there’s a lot of chargers downtown in the area that are like 2 dollars an hour. Cheaper to use the charger and park Vs just parking. Use the charge point app
