If I report dangerous driving with dashcam footage, would the VPD do anything about it?
I was dropping off this morning and a brown lady in a F150 (repeat offender) decided she needed to go on the opposite lane to pass a line of 4 cars waiting for some one to park. This is a school zone not only did she drive on the opposite lane through most of the block, she was going faster than 30.
Money aside, there's also that nagging voice from your spouse: "that's stupid. why would you do that to our car? and even if we had the money, why WOULD you??"

i proactively sold my car with the growing responsibilities a long while back, looking back now regretting it i get the "i didn't force you to sell it you know" from the spouse when she sees me all around the house

If you agree to show up in court and be a witness, they'll do smt about it. My buddy was in traffic, albeit for RCMP, and was saying that dashcam vids are useless if there's no witness in court LOL.

Report it and see what happens since you say repeat offender.... Maybe they'll camp out at the school to catch them for themselves. Or maybe they'll pay the registered owner a visit OR! They just record it for whenever someone else complains about the same license plate then considering doing something about it because now they've had multiple complaints about the same car.

I sent a recording into the Coquitlam RCMP before via their website and they emailed me back saying they sent out a warning letter to the registered owner of the suspect vehicle observed.

Back at my parents place in East Van, we live literally across the street from an elementary school. There was a similar serial speeder who drove very wrecklessly during school pick up / drop off times (morning and afternoon.) Gave zero fucks about anyone and anything.
Called VPD. Showed up the next day. Never saw the the car ever again.
I pulled the dashcam footage and will be talking with the school admin first, if they want to handle it on their side I'll let them do it, otherwise I'll reach out to VPD.

I'll see myself out now.
I've narc'd on a few people who have hit and run in Richmond. Left notes on the victim's windshield and later served as witness to ICBC. I ended up receiving thank you letters from ICBC and thank you texts from the victims for helping out.

Do you ever drive over 50 in a 50 zone? Thats also "dangerous" driving

I got a photo radar ticket in Calgary for 38 in a 30... on a major road that I didn't even realize had a playground zone (there are no "school zones" in Calgary) hahaha
According to Google Bby and new west are the only one's doing it right now.... But it's probably only a matter of time before everyone else copies because will someone please think of the children out at 10pm!
Every playground zone in Alberta is 2100hrs I believe which is super annoying cuz they’re literally EVERYWHERE and they’re always in effect because they’re playground zones even when school is out. Nice little trick for everyone.
