What is a good wheel sealant? Does it actually make a difference for brake dust? I have a new set of wheels coming

I think it depends on how aggressive your brake pads are. I've only been using Armour Detail Supply wheel coating for the last couple of wheels I've bought. I coated the winter wheels and only finally washed them just this weekend for the first time and most of the brake dust rinsed off with the pressure washer. It didn't take any force or effort to wash the rest of the brake dust off with some wheel cleaner and a mitt. So I'd say a wheel coating is nice to have if you have OEM/street pads.

It depends on the wheel size/design/spokes but I've been able to do 2 coats on one set of 19" wheels or 1 coat on two sets of 18" wheels. A little goes a long way when applying a coating.

I had Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour on my wheels and they lasted around 3 years. They made a big difference in general cleaning of the wheel - just standard soap and water was enough. I'm now back to using proper wheel cleaner. Carpro and Gyeon both have products that claim they last 1-2 years.
Spray ceramic sealants don't last very long due to the heat of the brakes.

Mine had the tires on them already but it doesn't matter if you do or don't. I had mine done by RDI Detailing before the wheels went on the car.

Usually you'll want a ceramic coat after you mount the tires, because otherwise the wheel weights will fall off

I always coat after the tires are mounted. I find its easier to move the wheel around with a tire on so I can coat the inner barrel and behind the spokes without risking the wheel getting damaged. I also like it with the tire on because then I can clean and prep the sidewalls to accept tire dressings.

Is it a swap from a higher trim? Or aftermarket?
I've updated my old cars that had cd players to something with Apple carplay and AA. One was Pioneer and the other was Enkey from Aliexpress....... The experience with Pioneer is much better than enkey. Enkey's boot up time is quite slow (up to a minute), I need to open the radio app every time it's done booting up or else I'm listening to nothing and it sits in the settings screen. And the home screen is kind of similar to yours with map, music and a pic of a car, but the map is China and not a local map. If I want local, I need to go into my AA and open google maps.

It is a Dynavin, a Malaysian company that has better reputation on Android unit. The unit comes with the screen / climate control / air vents / buttons that offers similar look to the Alphard 40 series dash.
Android HU is a headache to tweak, using pretty odd Chipset and Russian rom. Need to find a special launcher and auto-start commands.

I see these China tik tok with an alpine version that looks similar, that is supposed to drop in to 20 30 series, has 360 Cam, and can add blind spot in mirrors too. There's also a plug and play Alpine rear view mirror. But it seems like it's Asian market only. Can't even find it on eBay, except for weird malay sites like buyee, they said it's global ROM can Google map YouTube etc.
Does the climate features all work? Cuz the rear screen, front cams, mirror cam, Lane keep and auto Park is all tied to the head unit.

I believe nowadays Chinese roms allow users to install google service without google play, need to look it up as I also see Alpine with Chinese rom but can have google play installed etc.
Everything works like OEM. My car doesn't come with lane keep and auto park as standard though. Need more time to figure out more about this HU.

I installed a set of Megachip chip guards on the Miata today. The stickiness of the Continental ECS 02's and my spaced out wheels meant a lot of rocks were being flung up the sides of the car and they caused quite a few chips. I'm not a fan of big mud flaps, or any mud flaps actually, so I'm pretty happy with the coverage and the looks. 10/10 would reccomend

Worked fine all winter? This is more like V2, the original setup was made up of a bunch of smaller pieces, this is more like one big sheet cut down to size.
I've tried it all, poisons, sprays, traps, can't stop them from going in there. I have catnip planted all over the garden and the neighborhood cats come party at my place but it only works in the summer.. This will just make it uncomfortable to stay and take shits all over everything.
Next step is a full on GridGuard perimeter but I don't want to spend that kind of money on this house.

A long time ago when we ran into a mice problem in our garage, what worked for me in keeping the mice from staying in my engine bay was -- I just had to keep the hood propped up. Rodents like enclosed space because it makes them safe. By keeping the hood propped up, apparently that was enough to make them uncomfortable.
(A side issue to this was -- with my car at the time, the parasitic drain on the battery is much higher when the hood is propped up. Maybe the ECU won't go into sleep mode or something? At any rate, to keep the hood propped up, I also had to hook the car battery to a battery tender. YMMV)
