The US made good on its threat to board and seize any vessel defying its blockade of Iran’s ports on Sunday, with footage released by the military showing a guided-missile destroyer firing on the Iran-linked M/V Touska, and once it was disabled, Marines rappelling from helicopters onto its deck.
The incident comes after the Trump administration said it expected peace talks with Iran to resume this week in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Iran has vowed to retaliate for the seizure of the merchant ship, and it has not yet officially committed to the talks

I am not all that surprised by how Trump is giving no fxxks about how reckless he is with his war efforts. After all, he doesn't need to be re-elected again (even if he doesn't want to give up being POTUS), and he probably still somehow thinks he can establish a legacy of being the president that conquered Iran. (IMO, he is delusional to think it can be done.)
What surprises me more is how the GOP is unable / unwilling to do anything to reign their president in. These guys still have to face the midterms in 6 months, and logically speaking, they are on track to lose it big time unless the Iran situation gets resolved. I know the Trump voter base follows no logic, but when their own jobs are on the line, and the future votability of the GOP is severely damaged, how can these GOP people not try to do anything to save their own a$$es?
That's what I don't understand.

I stopped caring, we won so hard to destroy their army, Navy, we won, but their army still has drones, they have no navy left, but they can still blow up ships, so we should bomb the Navy that we destroyed already, but it's ok cuz we reopen the straights cuz we won, we blew up their navy again.
The straights are open, but we need to bomb the army again. But we won.

As you mention, logically speaking, the GOP is on track to lose big in 6 months, but I've also come to realize that there is no logic to US politics... I bet there is a ton of sketchy shit happening to stack the votes in favour of the Republicans, while the Democrats don't seem to have a plan either.

Yeah, I don't think that gets enough attention. As much we know the GOP are a bunch of fools and Trump is undeniably the dumbest man ever to hold that much power the Democrats aren't off the hook. They helped cause this, they need huge reform as well.

Looking back on the last couple years, I do not understand at all why Biden didn't order the release the Epstein files... I honestly don't think Trump would have ever gotten elected if that shit had dropped before/during the election run. And that's even the redacted/hidden shit... he could have dropped a lot more of it than was done and I assume what we didn't see if really fucking bad if the current shit is so bad.

It's because the Biden administration was actually busy running the country, instead of screwing things up. Whereas the current administration is just a huge mess with no focused agenda, so everybody is just doing their own thing.

Likely because there are many people on all sides that will be implicated, but they didn't want to go on a massive cover up campaign for those they want to save (because it'll end up being used against them). They also didn't have a MAGA equivalent cult base to support any and every lie that comes out of their mouths.
Orange man, on the other hand, is doing any and everything in his power to cover up, deflect, and lie about his involvement. He's also using his powers to coerce people to back him. And if you don't bend the knee to him, he doesnt give a fuck what happens to you and will even go out of his way to bury you.
There's been millions of pages of docs dropped, and there's literally nothing happening in the states as a result of it. The biggest hit to his support has been the Iran war. I think people really underestimate how dumb half the people are and that they literally vote based on one or two things: grocery prices and gas prices.
