Scanning negatives?
A friend is asking me about scanning negatives of her wedding photos... can anyone suggest a good place locally to get it done (she's in Mission, so somewhere Northeast Sector or Fraser Valley would be ideal)?
Thanks!

OOooooo....that could get expensive. The Lab charges $5/uncut strip for a low-res scan. It might be more economical to buy an Epson flatbed scanner that has a 35mm scanning capability.

Professional photographers I know swear by the Epson V700.

I have a Nikon Coolscan (I think 4000) it's kinda old now but they do work pretty well and strips are pretty easy since it comes with a holder than u just slide. If ur doing a bunch of them I'd recommend just buying a unit vs paying a shop to do it.

yea a pro shop would charge you an arm an a leg
i, myself is also looking for a negative scanner
if you are just scanning 35mm film then there is a canon on for 99 at futureshop
but if you want better quality or you will need to scan medium format film then there is a cannon 8800F thats about 200 also at futureshop
