square tires?
Just a qucik question...
How cold does it need to be before you get square tires? I just took my car out for the first time since the first snow fall parked in a car port and it feels like I have flat spots when I drive. Currently, I am using all season tires. Is there a way to fix this problem?

how could something that is round turn into a square? maybe your tires are just worn down?? are the wear bars visible?

I have been told (but have no firsthand experience) that -40 or so temperatures can result in flat spotted tires that round into shape as they are warmed and rolled.
spareribs, I doubt that the recent temps would be enough to flat spot your tires. How long has the car been sitting? Simple time is a more likely cause. If it's only been a week or two, just keep driving and see if the problem persists.

well since it was cold and it sat for a while, the tires might just be low on air. check the tire pressures.

check tire pressures. otherwise if you drive the car for a little bit the "flat spot" will wear out. Happens quite often up here in edmonton when it gets below -30'C

unfortunately modern day carcass in the tires acts as a memory foam so flat spotting aren't uncommon. most flat spotting will disappear as the temp in the tire rises.

the bridgestone G009 would flat spot from parking at around 15C or below. you have to remember, its the Nylon in the tire that creates that flat spot when they are cold.
