Canon G10
Has anyone tried this camera out yet? I picked mine up in HK 4 months ago and am still getting used to this camera. Its great for a compact camera - lots of features I would have expected to find in a full dSLR.

I rather spend the extra money and get a dslr (example Canon XS or XSi). It might be compact over the dslr, but it's ass at ISO400 and up and that's my deal breaker

The Panasonic LX-3 has better image quality it seems. Larger sensor, wider dynamic range.

Cameralabs did a review of the Panasonic LX-3 in comparison with the Canon G10 and a dSLR (I think the Canon XSi). From the sample images provided, the image quality seemed better on the LX-3 in comparison to the G10, but not by much. Neither came close to matching the performance of the dSLR either.
