What were you displaying it on? I ran a projector on a bare wall for awhile and was amazed at how crisp and clear the colors were once you put a proper screen backdrop up. I understand what you mean about not having a dark enough room though Tinfoil on windows blocks out all light if your interested.

im currently running it on a clean whitish/beige wall. I am aware of tinfoiling the windows but dark room is not the biggest issue for me. Its maximizing the projector's big screen capabilities. My wall just doesnt extend far enough for me to make the throw distance farther. This projector can output a maximum of 300" inches. im wasting the 210" inches of that projector.
Thanks for the advice though.
