Long range WIFI Antenna(biquad dish): What wifi/network card to use?
So come may i will have my seasonal camp site open for me, i will be spending much time there but i am worried about the intnet in the area, that it wont have the stability i am accustom to. so after doing a little research i found i can build a few difrent forms of Internet Antenna's that can lets say, give me the edge in the area. So i feel quite capable of making one of these however i am not sure as to what card i should get that will be easiest to attach the antenna to(and reliable) , suggestions?

there is a place out in annacis sp? island, that sells wireless components. but we are talking like industrial. i remember getting a 2ft 2.4Ghz antenna from there years back when i was testing out building to building wireless.
the hardest part was getting the hardware fittings. i ended up mashing a wireless card to use the fittings to test. worked though! went from 2 wireless networks to 11 detectable in the area. it was a weak signal, but could get it up to about 3 blocks or so.

isnt that in chilliwack (i hope) but i think i found a better easyer way, bascialy you put a usb wireless stick in a tin can, and then mount it in any tv satellite dish as if it were an lnb, supose to work really well. water proofing may be hard.
