Computer hook-up for a non-profit?
I work for a non-profit in North Vancouver. We were broken into last week and both of our laptops and two cameras were stolen.
While we do have a consistent operating budget, there isn't enough of a surplus to be able to go out and comfortably spend $500-$1000 on a laptop and $500 on a camera. The stolen camera and laptops were donated so we are not out any direct funds, but they will have to be replaced. They are a necessity for the work we are doing right now.
I'm putting this out there to the community to see if anyone knows a person that would be willing to donate a laptop or camera. Alternatively, any connections for a discount would also be appreciated. The laptop can be anything reasonable - used is just fine. We need a specific type of camera (waterproof) for our work.
Details about the non-profit that I work for are available upon request. I'll be able to issue a tax receipt for a donation (new or used equipment).
I hope this post is OK. Moderators please remove if you feel it is inappropriate.
Thanks!
Matt

I'm not sure if they will donate a computer but it's worth a shot.

Unfortunately the computer has to be a laptop. We are doing a research study that involves downloading information from receivers in the field. I appreciate the offers.
Our two desktops were not touched, thankfully. The only way for the public to get to our office is on bicycle. We think the thief used a motorcycle and dodged security by using the back roads.
Dragon I'll send you a PM.
