Lots of issues to consider with that kind of design. One of the big ones would be heat. I don't think a cardboard case would dissipate heat very well. A serious hardware malfunction could be a fire hazard.

I believe these type of cardboard should disperse the heat, I don't know.
probably not a good idea for overclockers
