FS: Canon 200mm L F/2.8 (PRIME)
Hi everybody, I have a Canon 200mm L F/2.8 1st generation (which is optically identical to the 2nd generation ) The only difference is that this lens has a built in lens hood.
This lens' autofocus is absolutely brilliant and is spot on. I know, i tested it when I bought it with the liveview on my 40d at 10x magnification.
I got this lens because it was black and a LOT smaller and really inconspicuous instead of the "Steal me, i'm a white canon" 70-200mm. For what it is, it's fantastic and a razor sharp lens.
This lens is a UG datecode, which means it's an older lens, but if you need work done on it, Canon will still work on it since it's identical to the 2nd generation lens.
