FS: 1997 Lexus SC300 5SPD "New Pictures"
For Sale 1997 Lexus SC300 5 speed Imola Red with tan interior (in the GVRD)
NEW PICTURES
This car is extremely rare, so for those of you that don’t know here are some specs.

I got the car in early 2007 from friend; he imported it from the states, I did a major tune up cost >2000 when I got it, and always have gotten an oil change with full synthetic every 5000km. No engine mods (biggest mod is KN drop in filter)
120### miles (These go into the 200k miles with no problems. I was planning on swapping a 1JZ-GTE)
Pros:
- New Imola Red Paint Job $ ~2500 all around (Car was originally Renaissance Red, it got keyed, colours are very much the same. Paint is 5 months old)
- Compustar Pager Alarm with Remote Start $ 700 after install (remotes starts from 2-3 blocks away, con: LCD remote cracked, still fully functional, also have the backup remote too)
- Alpine 6.5” DVD Player $ 1500 after install
- Racing Hart CR’s front 18x9 rear 18x10 with Sutimono rubbers (40-50 percent tread left) $ 2000 (rims have some curb rash, http://www.pantherwheels.com- they can make them look brand new for 300-400 I believe)
- Supra TT Eibach Springs with GAB shocks $400 (gives it a nice drop and very responsive, doesn’t scratch on speedbumps)
- Optima yellow-top battery purchased from Costco 6 months ago
- Power seats (Family has a 2009 BMW 323 and it doesnt even have power seats)
- Shaved off the antenna and added an interior one
Cons:
- 7/10 for interior; interior has seen better days (passenger airbag is a different colour and hasn’t been installed yet)
- Car has rebuilt status, bought from the states. Cuz it was shipped over with damage, it was automatically given rebuilt status. hit on passenger side front (hood, bumper, fender, & headlight). Absolutely, no frame damage.
- Paint chip on the front bumper, Can’t see it though because covered it with the license plate
All this car needs is some interior TLC or a black interior swap and it will look mighty sexy. And dare I say it 1JZGTE or 2JZGTE swap. Vrooom!!

just curious to see pics of the interior...
is the reason for the mismatched airbag because of the original deploying in whatever accident this car was in?

So the airbags were deployed in the accident.. again, there is no frame damage..
What was damaged was front bumper, hood, right fender, right headlight..
And it was brought over in the damaged condition.. So that gave it the rebuilt title...
Long story short, I was gonna swap or paint the brown interior pieces black.. so I didnt fully install the passenger side airbag yet.. And I was going to re-leather the seats.. but never got to doing it.
The driver side airbag is in and in working condition, and thats all that matters  jk..
As for the interior, I will have pics up soon... but the only real problem is leather on the driver seat is a litte torn.. and the passenger seat is worn down... and there are a couple other really minor things..
THIS IS NOT MY CAR, but this is what I wanted to go for..
SIDENOTE** thats exactly what my DVD player looks like in the car.

heh... the license plate in the front has migrated from the driver's side to the passenger side when compared to the old pictures u had up

Please dont take this as a bashing 
I think your car is very nice and priced fairly according to market value, but at the same time.. now a days you can pick up a minty canadian supra tt for around 30k.. your lexus is 14k.. after a complete 2jz swap, supra brakes and suspension, some interior work etc... you car would be in that 30k territory... so I think its getting a little more difficult to sell these cars now.
But they are very sexy thats for sure

Thanks for the input and I totally understand your reasoning, but..
16K for 2jzgte swap, supra breaks and suspension, and interior is kinda pushing it, dont you think?
First this car is already manual and doesn't have to be made into manual.. saves money
Mint Supra's still go around mid to high 30's
At most the engine swap would be 5k, supra breaks and brand new suspension 3k.. and a mint complete black interior swap would be 2k..
I think it will be 24k all together to make into a nice looking beast.. and remember thats at most..
I totally think it can be done around 6K if you install everything except the engine yourself..
- 3k swap (basic 2JZgte or 1JZgte after install and all the parts needed)
- 1k supra breaks (buy used)
- 1k suspension (megan coils)
- 2k black interior swap (mint off of clublexus.com)
Not to mention selling the parts that will be replaced
- engine is going strong 500-1k
- old interior (airbags and some pieces) 500
- GAB shocks with Eibach Springs 300-400
So thats like 1.5k - 2k to get rid of.. So looking at 4k-5k after everything then
Plus who has the money to invest that much at once.. this car is was a supposed to be a project car.. done step by step.. but went back to school and stopped working, and so did the mods..
And my price is not firm so there is a little wiggle room..
