Adult volleyball leagues?
Back in HS I played some pretty competitive volleyball (for my HS (AA, 2nd and 3rd in Provincials), club with FVVC and on TeamBC). I haven't played much in the last 3 years (I'm 21 now..) and would like to get back into it. I'm looking for what you could say is a competitive rec league.. where people take it seriously but still are out to have fun (when I play, I like to win ) and don't like when people just jerk around and waste time.
If anyone knows of anything let me know. I figured since volleyball season is in the fall, that now would be the best time to try to join a team.

The Mens 6s leagues are all full now, I'm on the waitlist. As you can imagine for a social sport like volleyball, there's tons and tons of co-ed leagues though...

damn... I knew I started looking too late.
co-ed might be fun...
are there any good drop-in places where people are still taking it semi-seriously?

In Vancouver, the most popular drop-in is Friday nights 7:30pm at Bonsor rec centre, just East of Metropolis. I've also encountered decent drop-in at Coal Harbour, and Roundhouse Community Centres, both in downtown. Monday nights at BCIT used to be good, no idea if it still is or not.
The above places I mentioned all play at men's net height, with proper 5-1 or 6-2 hitter/setter systems, often with teams that show up together.
