logo design and ecommerce storefront
I need a logo designed for my upcoming online store, it just a small logo about the size of the revscene.net logo on the top left corner. Anybody knows where i can get something like that done + an animated banner for cheap? It should be a quick and dirty job for someone with graphic design background.
also does anybody have experience with setting up canadian online store fronts? the only one I found is volusion. While their prices ain't the cheapest their storefront are quite decent looking and they provide lives shippping calculation from canada post.
anybody got a cheaper suggestion?

Are you just looking for a online shopping cart type program, or hosting as well?
I think it's cheaper to get hosting separately and then get a shopping cart.

while volusion provides hosting and cart as a package. I prefer hosting and the cart to be together so i dont' have to deal with so many company. However if it is significantly cheaper, why not.
Will the shopping cart progam also generate a decent looking store front ready to go or does it just provide the code and I still have to design the store front myself?

Yeah, if you went with Volusion, you are paying for convenience. Especially if you aren't so savvy of the internet.
If you went the other route, find your hosting, find your own shopping cart (Foxy Cart is good), integrate Foxy Cart into your website, and then set up a payment processor like PayPal or something rather.
Depending on how much time you want to spend on it, (making money takes time and dedication), you could go with whatever fits your needs.

I believe all if not most have templates built in and you could just select what you like. If those don't suit your needs you could design one yourself or contract someone to do it.
Hosting for a years is about $100 and some carts are free if you know where to look as well as some have a one time cost of maybe $100-$300.

thanks for all the suggestion both here and in PM. I check our Ubercart and Foxy Cart. Like both however Foxy cart doesn't have Canada post shipping estimate (or I missed it). Any body have any other free/cheap shopping cart for e commerce noob like me?
any suggestion for cheap reliable hosting maybe with domain name included?
how about banner/logo design?

CubeCart V3 is free and has a built in Canada Post module.
As, for hosting there's a ton in the same price range just search. o_O
