Another suggestion because i'm bord
like how we have the thanks and fail buttons, maybe it would be possible to have some kind of poke button at the bottom of each post like the one facebook has.
Well obviously there shouldn't be a count on the number of pokes given or received, but maybe a poke will send one of those pop-up alert to the user when he/she signs in to go back to a specific post which he/she posted. Something similar to the pop-up alert when a pm is received. Also, this poking function should send an email to the user's registered email account.
Now you would probably say the poking option is going to be more annoying than fun. However this wouldn't be an issue if there is also an option to turn off or on the poke pop-up alert option for each user.
This option would tell someone to check back on the post which he/she posted earlier. A good example of this would be when someone states a comment like: "the car has more character without a hardtop." Then another person would quote the comment and ask: "how does it have more character?" Now in this scenario, the original poster would probably never answer the question simply because he doesn't know someone has quoted and asked him a question.
I think this function is going to be beneficial for most RS users because I know how to prove 1+1 = 10 .
(please don't fail me)
