Choppy 720p Playback on PS3 (TVersity)
When I stream HD videos (720p) over my wired network (100mbps) to my PS3, the stream is always choppy, but I never get this problem when I am streaming other videos (non-HD videos). I've looked at other forums for a solution, but I haven't been able to find one.
I've tried mkv2vob and tsMuxer, but still couldn't fix the problem. I don't think it's a network issue as it's wired, could it possibly be my CPU?
AMD 3800+ Dual Core - I can play the files without any issues on my computer.

^ do you mean PMS? I dont think i've heard of ps3 media centre.
PMS = ps3 media server.
It's really good. Does encoding on-the-fly, so you will need a good CPU for that.
playing AVI seems to be totally fine though.
I don't use PMS as I have a laptop now.

Do I need to be encoding on-the-fly to view 720p movies? is there a lossless format where I don't need to encode on-the-fly to view 720p?
Can I transfer the movie to the PS3 and watch it from there? if so, how?
EDIT: Apparently, a P4 is sufficient to encode-on-the-fly for 720p. I have a AMD 3800 X2, so it shouldn't be a problem. 1080p, well, that's a different story.
