no its just a single speed centrifugal clutch. it will do 120kph on the straightaway at cartbc.
Shifter karts are ALOT more money and maintenance and if u get into club racing, chances are you will only be racing yourself or one or two more guys.

Get started with a rotax, very popular class... TAG style engine (touch and go) Low maintenance. It puts out about 25hp and only weights just over 200lbs with about 30lbs of balast bolted to the seat.
(Minimum weight with driver is 365lbs)

price reduced

someone buy this and get started into REAL racing. Karting is motorsports at its purest, just ask any real racecar driver. Pull over 3g's around corners, battle wheel to wheel with other drivers..
Cant go wrong with the ROTAX engine, race against 20+ drivers in the same class.
Paid close to 6K for this last year, not gonna find another kart with less racing milage and a sraight frame for 3500 bucks, specially a rotax.. (Kart is made in germany and engine made in austria so you know its good.)
