Hon's in Richmond
Does anyone know why it's closed? It seems like -- suddenly it's just gone *poof* Too much competition? The Robson location is still opened, AFAIK.

^ I heard about that from my mom too... The successors fighting over their family business and what not. But the richmond location has been closed down for a while now. At least 3 weeks!

they say it's renovating but i think it's closed for good cuz they has taxes problems, i dun think they pay there taxes for a long time

All Hon's are closed. I heard it's due to some bad investments. But yea, Hon's is no more, for now at least

they have been borrowing money just to pay the workers wages, workers haven't got paid for so long

heard through the grapevine that hons is tanking big time. i didn't mind hons actually, it was a quick fix to some bbq duck noodles.

I remember I was driving behind Hon's in Richmond once, and I saw a delivery truck unloading stock into the restaurant. A barrel of white powder (salt or flour or MSG) fell over, and spilled all over the floor of the truck. The delivery guy just swept it all back into the barrel, right off the floor.
And I have never eaten at Hon's since.

The hons in dt is actually decent. It's a place vegetarians go cuz they use a different kitchen for vegetarian food so meat won't get mixed in
