Canon 1D mkIV Sample Shots
Some shots from the 1D mkIV + 24-70mm f2.8L I did a few days ago. I wanted to shoot more, but I got really sleepy and went home.
Full frame, 8 sec, f5.6, 100 ISO
100% crops at increasing ISO. As you can see, once you go over 12,800 ISO it's pretty useless. All images are out of camera RAW files converted in Lightroom, no post processing. Looks like the Nikon D3s wipes the floor with the 1D mkIV.
100% crop, 8 sec, f5.6, 100 ISO
4 sec, f5.6, 200 ISO
2 sec, f5.6, 400 ISO
1/2 sec, f5.6, 1600 ISO
1/8 sec, f5.6, 6400 ISO
1/15 sec, f5.6, 12800 ISO
1/30 sec, f5.6, 25,600 ISO
1/60 sec, f5.6, 51,200 ISO
1/125 sec, f5.6, 102,400 ISO
The jpeg artifacts visible in the 100-400 ISO are not there in reality. Looks like Photobucket compression.

Wow, the shots I've seen my buddy take with his D3s @ 12,800 ISO are spotless compared to the MKIV ones... wow... *disappointed*

a review of the new AF system in the mk IV. It still doesn't look too good. Maybe a couple firmware updates will improve the AF capability.
