Baby's body found in landfill

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) - A 20-year old woman may be facing charges after Richmond RCMP say she gave birth to a newborn and then threw it into the trash.
Mounties say the birth happened at her boyfriend's home January 21st. While he was asleep on the couch, she delivered the baby by herself in the bathroom, then woke him up and told him she'd had a miscarriage. The couple then wrapped the baby in a towel and discarded him in a nearby school dumpster.
Upwards of 35 officers searched the Burns Bog landfill for the baby's remains, eventually recovering the infant's body last week. An autopsy will be conducted to determine if the baby was alive at birth.

Poor mom probably freaked. Let's face it, most people at 20 aren't going to be able to handle taking care of a kid. For all we know there really was a miscarriage but who knows at this point.
