I for one wasn't the one that gave you the points.
why don't you take it up with the mod in question?
I'm just stating what I can understand from the reasoning of the points.
I'm not here to argue with you, I have better things to do.
Plead your case to him/her if you think it should be reversed. <- I reversed 6 of those pointes given, they are duplicate
Thank you for reporting/pointing out that thread. All persons whom participated in that have been awarded 6 points.
Since I'm here, ANYONE that participates in doing these R-E-P-O-S-T bs postings in any form or manner will be instant banned in the future. RS's resources are not here to be wasted in these meaningless posts.

Why is it that the thread I posted as an example of other people doing the repost thing was deleted and the people in there not given points?

You will not be able to see the thread with all the posts and people that got points because it is in the spam bin. I can understand why you posted your remark above because of that. ( was it necessary to quote me that many times? what was your point? )
rest assured. all received points the same day you pointed that thread out. From now on, won't be points it will be bans.
as a reminder, whining about points also brings about banning.
