Edit: I just realized op asked for automotive wallpapers. In that case I use carwalls.com. They also have motorcycles too if you like that. And if not. There's skins.be

Go to Flickr.com and do a search. You can find high-res pictures there for sure... and a lot of good photographers.

find your pics, click all size/fullsize, his pictures usually go to 4288 x 2848 then from there you can resize for your desktop, not the quickest way but trust me you'd be satisfied
