Sling Bags: KATA 3n1-20 vs. Lowepro Sling 200 AW
I'm new to the SLR world and need a bag to suit my needs. I have 2 lenses (and plan to get a telephoto in the future). I'll need the bag for everyday storage and to take around town, but I'll also be needing it on a trip to Asia in the summer.
Which bag would you buy and why?
TIA.

hands down the kata, since you'll be rockin' it backpack mode more and more through your tiring day. having said that, you mind as well look at backpacks if you are going to carry more than one lens for a whole day.
i own the 3n1-20 and i have it sling mode if it's just my body and lens. anything more than that and more than an hour, i switch it to backpack mode.

i had the 3n1-20 and i loved it because of the backpack option. I found slinging a nuisance, it was heavy on 1 shoulder and inconvenient to take off + twirl around your body as the strap wrings your shirt around your body making it uncomfortable for a while. I ended up using the backpack option and found it so much faster in both putting on/off and letting go 1 strap to swing the bag around to withdraw the camera. In the end, i loved the bag but got rid of it for a tamrac side draw + laptop backpack becuase i ended up not using the sling function.

I have the Kata 20 as well, and I haven't ONCE used it in sling mode. Very inconvenient, not ergonomic and uncomfortable.

Another Kata user, and yeah, I never use the sling. Amazingly, you can pack quite a bit of stuff in the Kata 20.
