Lose that stomach fat
Is there a way to lose stomach fat?
I am perfectly fit, go to the gym on a regular basis for the past 1.5 years, do the usual sit ups, work on the abs, but I just can't seem to lose the beer belly.

stop drinking beer....
Most people have a tough time losing that thin layer over their abs. Usually it's just a layer of water. Lots of fitness models don't show muscle in the ab area until show day when they start "cutting" (not drinking any liquids), then the muscles start to show though...

you can't lose fat in one general area. spot reducing is impossible. you just have to lower your body fat percentage. working out just tones/builds your muscle.
you should just continue working out, do your cardio, eat healthier/smarter and just live better. those abs should show up in no time

I do do all that. I go on the treadmill, elliptical, bike, that row boating machine. When I do drink beer it'll be once every two months or maybe not even.

That's interesting. My regular eating habit consists of carbs throughout the day. It may be what I eat that I'm just not aware of.

For workouts, I would drop the cardio and do a good cutting weight routine and HIIT instead. Only take carbs post workout, and you will be ripped in under a month guaranteed.
One of these programs would be good (pick either beginner, intermediate, or advanced depending on how much weight training you do already), as they are specifically designed for a carb-depleted diet during cutting.

it is most likely your diet and or genetics.. google either or both.. .if you cannot see any definition it is fat.. if you notice differences throughout the day, it is water/diurnal effect. again, google.

Assuming you are moderately active and in good shape, avoid simple carbs and wheat products.

yup, not only bc simple carbs are basically as bad as straight up sugar, but wheat/gluten allergies too. a lot of people are allergic/sensitive to dairy and gluten and don't realize it... it can be the culprit in water retension, inflammatory responses, weight gain, and just overall lethargy.

i have/had the same problem
while its not completely gone, its been reduced by a lot. my routine is to go swimming every day and hit up the hot tub for 5-10 minutes, sauna for 5 and then steam room for 5.
i dont know the details of it, but i was told its most likely water or oil fat.
this routine has helped me toned it down by a lot, and im a pretty slim guy too.
im pretty sure i got it from sitting around all day.... lol

I totally second this.
Have you been to the doctor? Stubborn swollen stomach can be a sign of some gastro intestinal problems like chronic allergies that you may have suffered so long you don't even know you have them. Prior to being diagnosed with celiac I was 20 lbs underweight and still had what I thought was a 'pot belly'. It shed off pretty quick once I went gluten free.

I had this problem too.
It's calorie in vs calorie out. It doesn't matter how much you work on your abs, if there's fat covering your abs, they'll never show. In fact, if your abs get bigger and stronger, it might actually cause your abdominal area to appear bigger.
The only way to lose this is burn more calories than you eat. Doesn't mean eat less, just eat better. (being a chinaman, you could imagine how hard it was switching from white rice to brown. lol)
