In the top link under rs logo I'd like to suggest a link to vls+ the one with tech, auto, vls, etc

Yes, Tommy's words exactly. The Execs creating the VLS+ section as a trial process. We are not sure if it will fly or not. If it is successful and creates more good than bad, then we will permanently make a VLS+ header link.
But IF YOU LIKE THE VLS+ please post in the forums or post your support in the VLS General Chat. Otherwise, the Execs won't know and we may revert it back to the way things were before.
