Sparkplug Problem
So I had bad luck today.
I messed up a spark plug really badly. Can you guess how?
It messed me up pretty good too.
Please don't chuck your old spark plugs into the streets.
Tomorrow: getting laughed out of tire shops hoping they can patch it.
Friday: Ordering two new tires.

dont think that can be patched
thats more like a hole in ur tire than a puncture.

That can be repaired. Not plugged reliably but it can be patched from the inside.

It looked like 2" diameter with a 1/4" stem. I didn't watch them put it on. It was a busy Saturday, so I just left the wheel with them for a few hours. They also put a heat lamp on it to check for leaks when stressed.
Less than $40 with taxes. I'm happy, it takes the pressure off finding new tires right away.
Oh, and it was a complete spark plug. I half expected the ceramic part to have broken.

^ Plenty of reasons.
-it's still good
-you save a shit ton of money waiting for deals to come up on tires (remember the half price RS-2's and RE01R's at TireRack?)
-he probably hasn't done a whole lot of research into what tire he wants next and that takes time, time that he doesn't have if this is his daily driver.
-it's almost time for winter tires anyway, which is another reason why it'd be kinda dumb to drop the $700-800 on a set of decent 235/17's all of a sudden, when it could be a couple hundred bucks off in the spring, or through the winter.

Yup, those are the best patches. Plugs prevent air from cavitating between the plies and this style can't get ripped out (like regular plugs).
