Is this game any good? i mean as far as hackers and cheaters.

be thankful for valve's VAC
i bought source in feb 2008, i play it every so often and iv only encountered 2 hackers since...
$5 u cant go wrong, if you join a server that uses custom maps, it automatically dls it for you..
the stats showed that on average, there is about 15,000+ people playing this game online daily

be prepare to die lots i suggest going to small maps first and getting ur aim and the basics down

You can't. Use the silenced M4A1 for best accuracy and damage.

M4 is the best without silencer...don't let people tell you otherwise.
at least in 1.6 that is!
Learn to plant bombs in strategic areas..and learn how to dodge flashbangs to minimize the shock effect
