Winter Boots
Did a quick search, didn't see any threads on this.
The snow today made me realize I need some sort of winter boots.
I've been wearing regular sneakers and my socks ended up getting wet after 10 minutes walking in the snow. They have absolutely no grip either so I've slipped many times already.
I've never really shopped around for boots before, so would anyone have recommendations for good winter boots? I don't really have a budget so anything goes.
TIA

I love north face foot wear. If it snows more I might buy some boots, they look cool. I tried them on last year, but was too cheap to bother.
Right now I'm fine with my north face hiking shoes/runners. Outer material has goretex and the sole has vibram rubber. I've been walking through snow and these things don't leak. Awesome quality product.

I've had these bad boys in white since 2006. Bought em' at the Seattle Premium Outlets for $26! Wonderful in the winter time.

UGG Rockville - ~$200 USD
Pros:
- looks like a motorcycle boot, tough and mean like a boot should be
- sheepskin lining and optional sheepskin insert for even more warmth
- slip on/off, super easy
- good traction, not great
Cons:
- Don't step in deep water (~2"), the slit in the side will let in water. These are not rubber boots... yet any lace up boot would leak via the laces at that depth.
I used to wear sneakers cause I hated uncomfortable boots that take forever to get on. I have ditched them for these this year.

I wear these in the snow, have em for years, they keep my feet warm and dry and have surprisingly good grip in the snow:
they were under $100 too, i think I paid around $80 for them

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I ran out of thanks, will thank the rest of you later. & BaBiE_Bee, I'm a guy so those boots would not look too good on me haha, thanks though!
I've checked out Sportchek/Atmosphere but they didn't have anything to my liking. Are there any stores in the lower mainland that would carry some of those boots you guys suggested? I'm not too fond of the idea of blindly buying shoes online without trying them on first.
Keep the suggestions coming!

Payed $29.99 for some winter boots at superstore. They keep me warm and dry when I'm using the snow blower 3 in the morning.
