Good Deal? 5850 for 170 after MIR?
hey so saw this
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?s...r&promoid=1267
which sells at 219.99, with a $50 MIR. Says the value of the card is $302.33 regular...is it a good deal?

how reliable are powercolor cards? How are they compared to the XFX? I know XFX has very good warranty and it was $180 after MIR last week. Anyone have MIR experience with either companies? I'm not sure if i should pull the trigger or wait 2 more weeks for boxing day. Hell even after reading all the reviews online I still can't decide if 6870 or gtx470 or this card is the best bang for the buck.

i've been running a powercolor 5870 for a a year or so i think? It was my absolute last choice in terms of 5870 manufacturers but it was the only one ncix had in stock at the time, and i was in a rush.
So far no problems, but then again probably 80%+ of cards will never have issues throughout their useful life. As long as the card & heatsink is ati's reference design you probably will not see varying rates in gpu failure by manufacturer.

Only thing that bugs me about this card is that the MIR is $50....that means tax needs to be paid on the full 200-something price and there's always the risk of not getting the MIR back (which is better these days).
