Oh god, my GF's 9yo just got this and hasn't stopped ranting about it since. I cannot imagine anyone older than 12 playing it.

I picked up my kiddo's copy of White today. She HAD to have white, and Future Shop was sold out, Best Buy was sold out and I got to EB JUST as they were getting their restock in cause they had sold out too.
I hope she realizes I love her. My mother never would have run around the city looking for a video game for me when I was that age (or ever).

I picked up White. I think this is going to be the last one I buy. The pokemon are just getting ridiculous. At least Platinum/Pearl's pokemon looked kind of cool. This generation they all look really dumb. I'd rather have remakes of the originals please.
Anyways, I chose Snivy since it seems like the best option and has the least stupid name.

i know this mother who ran around the city looking fors specific trues wash jeans.. i wish i had a mother who would do those stuff 
why white though curious, what is wrong with black?

From what I understand of the 9yo's rants is they are the exact same game, the only difference is one legendary pokemon. The white game has a cool black legendary, while the black game has a weird white legendary that the kids don't seem to want.
Just google'd, differences are:
- ~10 pokemon exlcusive to each game
- black city exclusive to black
- white forest exclusive to white
- some common areas to both games look slightly different
- some battles to defeat specific characters are different (ie rotation in white, triple in black)

White has this white forest where you can catch some good pokemon. Other than that, the legendary looks cooler.
I love my pokemon and I'm proud to say it. It's like the transformers of my time.
For those that are playing it....
What the hell is this c-gear shit..? I don't get the point of it.

^ lol you'd probably get along with a friend of mine. Hes 22 and still plays pokemon cards. In fact, I think he was Canadian champion at one point in time. Lol.

just started playing white tonight..wtf all these new pokemon mkes me feel so lost.
game is ballin though, such a huge leap to go from red/blue/yellow to this
chose oshawawa as 1st so my main can gee it up with surf

To be honest, I have no idea what's wrong with black. She just wanted white. I think she likes the black legendary thing better than the white one or something? No idea.
Taylor> I told her I would buy it for her if she did well on a few of her projects and tests since she had a lot in the last week so it was a little short notice to pre order. Next time though I'll know better, I've never had trouble getting a game for her before she's been playing since Diamond/Pearl. (So I think this is the forth?)

I personally liked gold and silver. Just the right amount of pokemon. But after that it totally got out of hands.
