Yet Another Remake! Russell Brand in Arthur.
Here's the trailer for the Arthur remake. Can Russell Brand make this movie a success?

I really wish that there were still "original" movies, instead of just re-making / making sequels, or even just using everyone else's movie elements.... Soon we'll see remakes of The Breakfast Club and other 80's teen classics.

Get Him To The Greek was horrible. I know a number of my friends found it really funny but I couldn't stand Russell Brand in that movie.
Hopefully this one will be better.

Theres always room for remakes in the movie industry. As a movie lover myself...you have to consider that sometimes the actual story itself has to be preserved....yet the settings, style and humour gets completely outdated.
Whether or not a remake is done well.....it will bring back popularity to the original whether the reviews are "Oh, the original was a lot better..." or "Watching the remake makes me want to watch the original again"
...that kinda stuff.
My favorite example of a remake...well, its my favorite movie of all time, "Oceans 11."
Try watching the original and see if the humour and the trends of 60's Las Vegas relates to you......yet the story is pretty much the same.
Hooray for remakes.

The original Arthur movie was great. Hopefully, this will live up to it's predecessor.
From the previews, it looks like the plot is different from the original.

Ha...I can see and understand why Russell Brand doesn't have the best reputation.
From a comedy standpoint, i think he's brilliant. However, the way he markets himself.....a mix between british comedy and american glam rockstar.....Its kinda shocking, if not very difficult to get used to.
