Are SFU Workshops useful or not?
SFU has a lot of workshops. This is my 1st year and I'm planning to attend almost all of them; hoping they will benefit me. For example, I plan to attend a workshop tomorrow called "preparing for academic success" It's gonna cost $12 though.
Has anyone attended that specific workshop above? It cost $12, so I want to know if it will be worth it. If not, then I won't go tomorrow.
Most of the other workshops are free. Are they helpful at all or just a waste of time?
Thank you.

Went to that one last year...only taught me about time management which I didn't even use. Don't go.

^That's the only workshop worthwhile.
You'd be better off asking your professors for advice on how to succeed in their courses one on one during their office hours, than going to some generic lecture filled with information you'll never use.
