Fixed.
d = 1.8sin(2π((t-4)/12.4) +3.1
d = 1.8sin(2π((12-4)/12.4) +3.1
d = 1.8sin(2π(8/12.4) +3.1
d = 1.3763 metres

All you do is plug in 5 and 12 for t and solve for d(t)
